Quote of the day:
The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions - the little, soon-forgotten charities of a kiss or a smile, a kind look, a heartfelt compliment, and the countless infinitesimals of pleasurable and genial feeling.
~Samuel Taylor Coleridge
English poet, 19th century
This whole experience has been incredible. I stayed a little later last night and was eating in the cafeteria. An elderly woman sat down with me so I turned off the computer and said hello...it is crazy how one hello can effect someone else's whole night. I ended up leaving her and giving her a big hug and a blessing before leaving. I have had 10 days so far of a very humbling experience. I have been around people who have just lost a baby and people who have been cooped up here for 2 months with their sick child. There are some parents who are first time parents and some who are not but find themselves in an experience that puts their whole lives on hold. I hope I can take this experience and use it for the rest of my life to be a better parent and a better person.
